The past, the present, the future. Does this make any sense?

I see the future... ha ha ha... I was in the car with my fren and we were on our way to Serdang from Sg Long when I saw a head-on motorbike accident. The best part is, I dreamed about the whole situation 3 days ago. This happened to me for my Principles of Microeconomics exam last semester too, I dreamed about the paper weeks before the exam. This dejavu thingy gets me thinking sometimes. I guess most of us have this experience...

What is the reason behind this phenomena? Is this a sign of the future? No matter what research or experiment we humans do, this question about the future is beyond our inteligence. Well, Sharath Bani is starting to make some sense huh... ha ha ha...

Dejavu is a proof that the past, present, and the future of any object is written and it is going according to plan. This gives a strong support to the Law of Karma. Whatever happened, happening, or going to happen to us, are pre-planned according to fate and the fate we are going through is created by our own daily actions. It is like planting a mango seed, we get a mango tree; planting an apple seed, we get an apple tree.

There is an exception where we can fight our own fate. This can be achieved by the usage of our knowledge and common-sense wisely. During the 1930's, there was a massive volcano eruption in one of the islands of Bali, Indonesia. More than 32000 people died. The people there respected and prayed to the volcano. The government had given them the notice to evacuate, but the people refused to leave. The conclusion is, everyone living there are fated to die. Well, the ones who used their common-sense and evacuated earlier, lived on to tell us the tale. The living ones fought their own fate, what about us?

An illegal racer is fated to die in an accident. He can change his own fate by using his knowledge about safety and stop racing. This might save him from the mouth of death.

Sometimes, how cautious we are, we still go through havoc. Things will happen if it really needs to happen. There is no common-sense or knowledge in this world that can save us. Think about it, what you sow is what you reap...

Thatz it I guess... chiowz....

Regarding your comment linking volcanic eruptions, mango seeds and fate: It is evidence of some confusion that one would mistake genetics for "fate" or even as an analogue of "fate". Of course, even the seeming inalterability of genetics can now be avoided, either preconception or post-conception (i.e., sprouting). You are bright enough to look into this I presume.

I would also take issue with your suggestion that those who left the island (of Krakatoa or wherever) were generally fated to live longer than those who did not.

For one thing, the Law of Large Numbers as well as other theories and proof of mathematics apply, not nature worship v. any other (read 'your interpretation of'), belief system.

Nor does having attained a more "enlightened" state or higher "Karmic" state, (proof of which, in your scheme of things, is presumably supported by the FACTS that: those who left had attained the economic status sufficient to have obtained basic information about geophysics, passports and the price of a ticket, primarily achieved through pricey educations) the reason some died and some got away. Not even in Buddhism, a belief system notorious for its dependence on Karma, would all this be supported.

Secondly, you assume that the government information was: a. respected (which implies a respectable government was in place), b. was thoroughly distributed in the NATIVE tongues of ALL peoples on the island, c. in ALL areas of the island, no matter how remote, d. that ALL people had EQUAL or sufficient economic ability and e. EQUAL access to reasonable and safe means of transport to the evacuation sites.

You further assume that the Western version of COMMON SENSE, driven by the Western version of LOGIC and SCIENCE had securely and reasonably supplanted all and any idio-graphic religions.

Also you make the very bizarre supposition that in some way Karma is a THEORY or accepted PROOF within the folds of Western science and logic. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Deja-vu, my dear little high-caste boy, is now (literally) found under the microscope and in the fPET scans of science, to be part of the human nervous system, as well as present in some of the so-called lower species.

Apparently, your brain is so special it can even get you messages, coherent ones, no less, from the future! Wow! Not only are you smart, but you have outdone the physics and math of Einstein and everyone after him with merely one neurological organ!

Please stop mistaking education, intelligence, the opportunities for it and the vagaries of birth for talent. The compassion of your species, which is also likely genetically endowed, is at stake when people like you present such beliefs as mystically or metaphysically endowed. And, the next time you want to know the future, go see a Tarot reader. Such a one is more skilled in predicting your future, as they can read the tiny little twitches in your face.

As for myself, I only want to find out if I can plant the mango seed I've saved.
